He hates her…almost as much as he wants her.
Gorgeous, cocky, and fast on his way to becoming a hotshot doctor, Josh Chen has never met a woman he couldn’t charm—except for Jules Ambrose.
The beautiful redhead has been a thorn in his side since they met, but she also consumes his thoughts in a way no woman ever has.
When their animosity explodes into one unforgettable night, he proposes a solution that’ll get her out of his system once and for all: an enemies with benefits arrangement with simple rules.
No jealousy.
No strings attached.
And absolutely no falling in love.
**
Outgoing and ambitious, Jules Ambrose is a former party girl who’s focused on one thing: passing the attorney’s bar exam.
The last thing she needs is to get involved with a doctor who puts the SUFFER in insufferable…no matter how good-looking he is.
But the more she gets to know him, the more she realizes there’s more than meets the eye to the man she’s hated for so long.
Her best friend’s brother.
Her nemesis.
And her only salvation.
Theirs is a match made in hell, and when the demons from their past catch up with them, they’re faced with truths that could either save them …or destroy everything they’ve worked for.

Thank you to the author, Ana, for sending me an ARC of this book as part of her team. All opinions on the book are my own and I voluntarily wrote a review.
“Let another man touch you, Jules, and you’ll find out just how easily I can take a man’s life as I can save one.”
She’s done it again. This is the seventh book I’ve read by Ana and somehow every book she writes is somehow even better than the last. Her writing, her characters, the plots, and just how everything fits in together. Every single one of her books is a 5-star-read.
Twisted Hate is the third installment in a series of inter-connected standalones, with Twisted Love and Twisted Games preceding it. We see all the characters in each others books because each of the female main characters are part of a friend group.
Jules Ambrose is an aspiring lawyer whose only goal in life for the time being is to pass the bar exam. She’s witty, sarcastic, has an attitude like no other, as well as a past no one knows about that she never wants to revisit again. Josh Chen is a man on fast-track to becoming a hot-shot doctor. He’s gorgeous, and everyone loves him—well everyone except Jules. She’s his sister’s best friend and she loathes him unlike anyone before but that’s fine with him because he hates her too. He’s been betrayed in the past and now trust doesn’t come easy for him.
Jules and Josh are the perfect match for each other. They’re both ambitious toward their respective careers, they’re both cocky, they both hate each other but love Ava. I can’t believe I’m saying this since I’m always all about the romance but I actually enjoyed the fact that from the beginning to around 30% of the book, Josh and Jules truly did dislike each other. I love a good romance but when there’s no tension and no real plot? it ruins it so I loved that when we had an enemies to lovers, they actually were enemies. Case in point:
❝Jules is very pretty.” “Most flesh-eating succubi are. It’s how they rope you in.❞
❝I was somehow not surprised Jules had turned the tables on her would-be mugger. If she got kidnapped, the kidnapper would probably return her within the hour due to sheer irritation❞
They were sort of explosive together and I’m not sure what exactly I was expecting from this book, but it surpassed all my expectations. Ana markets her books so well with the teasers and tiktoks and let’s not forget the instagram reels too. The tropes this book had were absolutely out of this world. It was like a combination of the best tropes out there, all fitted into one single book (no wonder it’s so thick)
Here’s some tropes/things to convince you to read this book:
🖤enemies-to-lovers
🖤enemies-with-benefits
🖤best friend’s brother/sister’s best friend
🖤interracial romance
🖤grumpy-sunshine type dynamic
🖤forced proximity
🖤avaalex and bridgetrhys content
🖤groveling
🖤one bed trope
🖤”touch her and I’ll kill you” trope
🖤takes care of her when she’s on her period
🖤office romance (sort of)
🖤the hate smut is out of this world, could solely be reason enough to read this book
I absolutely adore Ana’s writing in every book she’s ever written. Twisted Games will forever remain my favorite but Twisted Love came a close second and I never thought Twisted Hate/Twisted Lies could compare to it but this one so did and now it’s at a tie with Twisted Love, and I can only guess how good Twisted Lies is going to be. I’m already dying for Christian and Stella’s story.
So that’s my 5-star-review for one of the book that will undoubtedly go into my “favorites of 2022” list at the end of the year.
