Happy New Year! Welcome to 2022, everyone. Here’s to hoping this year is better than 2021, filled with joy, happiness, new friendships and wishing that all our hopes and goals come true. (And that there’s many, many books in our future, right? Right.)
So, I know 45 PLUS sounds like a big number but what can I say? There’s some wonderful books releasing this year to look out for, and I thought I’d make my own list for all the people out there who either trust my opinions on books, or read the type of books I do. Plus, as you guys know, a lot of books I read are by self-published authors, more than traditionally published ones (although, they’re there too) and these authors could use every single promo for their book that we can give them, if we’re personally invested of course. That is to say I usually hold back on posts from mentioning TOO many books, but this time I’ve given myself free reign to mention every book I’m excited for that releases in the first half of 2022.
This post is going to be long enough as it is, so instead of posting the full synopsis of every book, I’ve given a brief about most books. To make it easy for you guys, I’ve categorized books according to month. The book covers are in a line on top with the titles and synopsis’ under them in order together. The book titles are linked to the Goodreads pages and their release dates are beside them. (Key: fMC means female main character and mMC means male main character) Happy Reading everyone!

Doctor Mistake (Jan 3)~ This book’s a medical workplace romance with the best night of the fMC’s life turning into a regret because of a mistake with two pink lines on a stick. This mistake could cost her everything but the mMC’s undeterred. He wants it all now. But what this mistake is the worst of them all?
Scarred (Jan 4)~ Once Upon A Time, there was a king who passed. He left behind two sons, one beloved and one outcast. The older of the two was set to take the throne, but before he could he had to find a queen to call his own. The younger one was known to be unruly and unhinged. The chosen queen was warned to keep far away from him. Beautiful and cunning, in the light is where she stayed. But late at night, it was the shadowed lands in which she played. Mistakes were made and secrets forged; forgetting duty and her sense. And while the new king had her hand, her heart belonged to the scarred prince.
Love at First Spite (Jan 4)~ Building a vacation rental next to her ex-fiance’s house as revenge for him cheating on her is Dani’s perfect plan…until Wyatt comes along. He’s stern and strict, but the more time they spend together, the more Dani seems something deeper beneath the facade. And the closer she gets to her goal, the more she wonders if winning revenge could mean losing something infinitely sweeter…
Destined (Jan 6)~ My brother’s ex-girlfriend is off-limits. She’s forbidden. She’s a temptress with a killer set of legs. Destinee’s here, starting a new life in a city where I’m the king. I made billions, and now I make the rules. And rule number one is I need to make sure my feelings for her stay hidden. She needs a friendly hand. I need to keep away. But one taste of those sweet lips, and I’ll fight like hell to lay the world at her feet. Temptation leads to sin… and sin leads the path to Hades. But how could I resist? She’s gorgeous. She’s fierce. And I’m going to help her shine. My brother made a mistake. He let her go. I won’t make the same one. It’s destined.
Is This for Real? (Jan 11)~ An opposites attract, friends-to-lovers, slow burn, fake dating romantic comedy between two best friends who fake-date for their own reasons. One is a total romantic while the other is a romance writer who’s a recluse and has walled herself up emotionally (her sister’s words, not mine). Those flickers of attraction? Easily extinguished by cold water reality—like a two-mile hike in drenching rain over sand with wheelie luggage. But their relationship is not sticking to the plot—or is it?
Conquered (Jan 11)~ The fifth installment of the Sinclair Brothers Series. Vivianne. I’ve been blinded by lust, beauty, and the intoxicating, innocent magic that makes her irresistible… What have I done? Her life is at risk because of me. Because of my monstrous past. I promise myself I will rescue her and make sure she is protected for the rest of her life. That she has whatever she needs… And most importantly, I will stay far away from her. I will never hurt her again. I am no longer that man. I can no longer be William Sinclair. I am now Sin.
Reminders of Him (Jan 18)~ After serving five years in prison for a tragic mistake, Kenna Rowan returns to the town where it all went wrong, hoping to reunite with her four-year-old daughter. But the bridges Kenna burned are proving impossible to rebuild. Everyone in her daughter’s life is determined to shut Kenna out, no matter how hard she works to prove herself. The only person who hasn’t closed the door on her completely is Ledger Ward, a local bar owner and one of the few remaining links to Kenna’s daughter. But if anyone were to discover how Ledger is slowly becoming an important part of Kenna’s life, both would risk losing the trust of everyone important to them. The two form a connection despite the pressure surrounding them, but as their romance grows, so does the risk. Kenna must find a way to absolve the mistakes of her past in order to build a future out of hope and healing.
London Bridge (Jan 18)~ Halfway around the world wasn’t far enough away to keep my best mate’s sister safe from our enemies… or my touch. I will have her. Even though she’s the beauty and I’m the beast. Emma Varma remembers me as the black hearted prince of Eton prep… but the hardened man I’ve become won’t be so easily burned. Her return to London has nothing to do with me and everything to do with retribution. Gone is the wild child I remember and in her place a striking beauty, tempting me with a second chance to break all the rules that I missed the first time… before I was man enough to make her mine.
Trust the Fall (Jan 20)~The second installment of the Fallen Hunters Series. The devil whispered my name, and I fell willingly. Whisked off to Hell, I’m now at the center of a coo to overthrow Lucifer. The one I fell for. The man I love. War is approaching and the line between good and evil has never been so blurry. Who to trust is even less clear. A pact between witches and rogue demons has forced unlikely alliances. There are new players in this game, and they’re fierce. Lucifer will have to put his plans for me aside and rule Hell like he’s meant to. We’re all forced to make decisions that will change everything. My fall was for a greater purpose. One predestined. I’m nothing but a pawn for both sides and that begs the question… who do I fight for? The answer is simple… me.
Just About Over You (Jan 21)~Amelie has been head-over-heels in love with her best friend for forever, but it’s always been one-sided. And then one day, she overhears Gannon declare his love and tell a woman he’s been cast alongside on a reality show that he could envision her being his wife. She’s done carrying the torch and she’s ready to move on, but then they have a wonderful night together and he chooses to declare his feelings now. Right when he starts saying all the right things, devastating news lands on Amelie’s doorstep and suddenly she doesn’t want to risk a relationship if it means losing him as her best friend.
River of Shadows (Jan 22)~ River of Shadows is an adult dark fantasy romance based on Finnish mythology and the underworld of Tuonela. One of my most anticipated releases for January 2022.
Criminal (Jan 25)~ Talent Ridge is a criminal. As a lawyer, he swore to abide by the law. As a made man, he pledged his life to the mafia. But he has one more vow to give. The third installment in the Hush series and a continuation to Lydia and Talent’s story.
Lies (Jan 26)~ An angsty second-chance married couple romance between a girl from the right side of the tracks, and a boy from the wrong side. Dougie Rich girl, poor boy. It was the oldest story. Yet it was ours. I knew Penelope was different the moment I laid eyes on her. But all she wanted was to be friends-with-benefits. My best friend told me not to f*ck the new girl. He didn’t say anything about marrying her. Or what might happen if we broke our vows. Penelope I was the rebellious trust fund baby. The one who threw the finger to her parents. I designed a life I loved. No rules, no expectations. Something easy. Dougie didn’t want easy, he wanted commitment. Babies, marriage, the postcard perfect house in the ‘burbs. The life. It was all ours. Until it wasn’t. All we had now were lies and betrayal. Lies that might just cost us everything.
Twisted Hate (Jan 27)~ My MOST Anticipated release of January. The third installment in Ana’s Twisted Series follows Jules, who’s only focus is passing her bar exam and Josh, her best friend’s older brother who’s on a fast track to becoming a hotshot doctor and…her enemy. When their hatred comes to a head and they spend one unforgettable night together, Josh proposes a simple solution: an enemies-with-benefits relationship. No jealousy, no strings attached and no falling in love. The more Jules gets to know Josh, the more she realizes there’s more to him than the man she’s hated for so long. Theirs is a match made in hell, and when the demons from their past catch up with them, they’re faced with truths that could either save them …or destroy everything they’ve worked for. I CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS.
Forbidden (Jan 27)~ This one’s a slow-burn and forbidden workplace romance between a boss and his employee.
Blind Pass (Jan 27)~ What happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay in Vegas. This grumpy-sunshine couple would know because an innocent trip to Vegas leads with them coming back married. Getting it annulled would be easy, if only they hadn’t already made headlines by posting about it online. Their new plan is simple: stay married for one year, play their roles, and divorce amicably at the end. No harm, no foul. And besides, there’s no way this sunshine beauty would ever fall for the grumpy, scarred beast. Right?

Stealing Infinity (Feb 1)~ When a young girl with an unusual gift is whisked away to an academy for time-travelling teens, she becomes the target for a sinister organization hell-bent on rewriting history in this clever and fast-paced YA that is guaranteed to become your next fantasy romance obsession.
Group Therapy (Feb 1)~ From the Wall Street Journal bestselling author of 44 Chapters About 4 Men (inspiration for the 4th Most-Watched Netflix Original Series of all time, Sex/Life) comes a fun, forbidden romantic comedy about an inexperienced psychologist and her ultra-famous client.
Good Girl Complex (Feb 1)~ Mackenzie “Mac” Cabot is a people pleaser. So, even though all she wants to do is focus on her internet business, she’s attending college at her parents’ insistence at the beachside town of Avalon Bay. Mac’s had plenty of practice suppressing her wilder impulses, but when she meets local bad boy Cooper Hartley, that ability is suddenly tested. Cooper is rough around the edges. Raw. Candid. A threat to her ordered existence. Their friendship soon becomes the realest thing in her life. Despite his disdain for the trust-fund kids he sees coming and going from his town, Cooper soon realizes Mac isn’t just another rich clone and falls for her. Hard. But as Mac finally starts feeling accepted by Cooper and his friends, the secret he’s been keeping from her threatens the only place she’s ever felt at home.
The Commander (Feb 1)~ My instincts had always served me well. Listening to my gut, the warning voice in my head that told me when to walk away. I never failed to heed the signs. Until the day she walked into my office. I knew she would be trouble, but I ignored the alarm bells. And then it was too late, and I fell. Hard. A lie tore us apart, and I thought I’d lost her forever. But now she’s back—with a secret she’s been keeping. This time, I’m not letting her go.
A London Villain (Feb 4)~ My MOST anticipated release for February. I might be biased because I’m on Catherine’s ARC and Beta team, but I’m on it because I love her writing so, here goes! It started with a dare: Steal a kiss from the pretty, green-eyed girl with the Irish mobster father. Turns out, Ada O’Sullivan was a much better thief than me. In the span of one night, I lost my head, my senses, my loyalty to my own crime family… At nineteen, she was the only thing worth fighting for. Dying for. Loving. But I was a boy playing a man’s game. In the end, they drove me from this city, while Ada was driven straight to hell. Now, I’m back—an avenging devil—with red hands and loaded bullets. Irish. Mafia. Bratva. British. Everyone who tore her from my arms, everyone who has ever hurt her, will suffer the consequences. But time bleeds secrets. Secrets open old wounds. Ada isn’t the same sweet girl I knew before they ripped her innocence apart. And that boy? I’ve turned him into a villain who will stop at nothing to make her mine again.
The Damaged (Feb 8)~ A continuation to Tijan’s The Outsiders. No longer an outsider, Bailey has a family and love that she never could’ve imagined. Used to living in the shadows, Kash will now do anything to protect his family and his woman. They will take on the world together… In the meantime, stunning motives, lies, and explosive secrets continue to unfold. 1. Quinn is in jail, awaiting trial. 2. Friends might actually be enemies. 3. And what is Calhoun plotting? More importantly, will Kash discover it before it’s too late? Everything will come to a head as passion and danger ignite in The Damaged.
The Player Hater (Feb 15)~ I would do anything for my best friend. Well. Almost anything. When she begs me to come on a weekend getaway so I can bond with her new boyfriend, I can’t say no—no matter how badly I want to. After all, who will keep an eye on the guy; he’s your stereotypical, professional football player (emphasis on PLAYER) and I don’t trust him with my friends heart. Worse? He has the nerve to bring his single best friend Davis on the trip, too. Davis is too handsome, so funny and smart he can’t possibly be human. Grandma’s, babies and kittens fall for his smile. In fact, everyone adores but me **narrows eyes** What’s he hiding? I refuse to fall for his act; at some point he’ll will drop the Good Guy act and show his true colors: he’s a player, too. He must be. You know the saying: if he seems too good to be true, he probably is.
Home for Christmas (Feb 22)~ Down with a bad case of writer’s block, Riven has escaped to a mountain cabin for a prolonged writing retreat. The last thing he needs this Christmas is for his family to invade his sanctuary away from LA. What he needs even less is for a family of strangers as large and boisterous as his own to also be stuck in the same house after a double-booking disaster. Especially when he ends up having to share a bunk bed with Wendy—a gorgeous, feisty New Yorker who quickly learns how to get under his skin. Sharing a room with her is sweet torture and Riven isn’t even sure what he dreads more: that every passing day brings them closer to saying goodbye or that they have yet another night to spend together…

Hook, Line and Sinker (Mar 1)~ In the follow-up to It Happened One Summer, Tessa Bailey delivers another deliciously fun rom-com about a former player who accidentally falls for his best friend while trying to help her land a different man…
By Any Other Name (Mar 1)~ From # 1 New York Times bestselling author Lauren Kate comes an enemies-to-lovers romance about an editor, her bestselling author, and one life-changing secret. I love all of Lauren Kate’s YA books so I’m way too excited for this Woman’s Fiction one.
Mr.Wrong Number (Mar 1)~ Things get textual when a steamy message from a random wrong number turns into a thrilling anonymous relationship in this hilarious rom-com by Lynn Painter. Bad luck has always followed Olivia Marshall…or maybe she’s just the screw-up her family thinks she is. But when a “What are you wearing?” text from a random wrong number turns into the hottest, most entertaining—albeit anonymous—relationship of her life, she thinks things might be on the upswing…. Colin Beck has always considered Olivia his best friend’s annoying little sister, but when she moves in with them after one of her worst runs of luck, he realizes she’s turned into an altogether different and sexier distraction. He’s sure he can keep his distance, until the moment he discovers she’s the irresistible Miss Misdial he’s been sort of sexting for weeks—and now he has to decide whether to turn the heat up or ghost her before things get messy.
Mr.Bloomsbury (Mar 15)~ He’s merciless. Brutal. Savage. That’s how Andrew Blake’s best friends describe him. Try being his new assistant. Nothing I do is good enough. The more I try and please him, the more he ignores me. I’m beginning to wonder if there’s a heart in that tall, hard, gorgeous body of his. After work I’m complaining about him to my new best friend—the bartender at the pub near the office. Guess who’s seated behind me and has heard every gripe, grumble and grievance? By the look in Andrew’s eye, I can’t tell if I’m going to get fired or kissed.
Falls Boys (Mar 21)~ ARO Hawken Trent. So polite. So sweet. Such an upstanding young man. A virgin, too, I hear. He never gets naughty with a girl. Probably because Jesus told him not to. And now here he is, trying to be the hero by protecting another girl from me. He calls me a bully. Irrational. Unreasonable. A criminal. He can call me anything he wants, I’ve heard worse. And he can try to stand between me and my money, but he’s never had to fight for food. That rich, clean, school boy doesn’t have what it takes. HAWKE I surprised her. You should’ve seen her face. Just because I don’t have a record, honey, doesn’t mean I’m clean. It just means I’m better at not getting caught. That is until I realize I might’ve actually gone too far this time. She’s there. I’m there. The scene of the crime. It’s dark. The police show up. We have no choice. We run. Down High Street, into Quinn’s bake shop, and I pull her through the entrance to the old speakeasy that everyone forgot was here decades ago. The door locks, the cops circle the building, never knowing we’re right here, and I’m hidden in plain sight, indefinitely, with someone’s who’s awful. Mean. Rough. Dirty. A thief. A delinquent. Until one night, lost in all of these rooms together, I don’t see any of those things anymore. She’s smart. Daring. Soft. Hot… Everything’s changing. It’s this place. It does something to people. We have a silly urban legend in Shelburne Falls about mirrors. They’re a gateway. Don’t lean back into them. But we came through front first. I don’t care what the county records say. This was never a speakeasy. It’s Carnival Tower.
The Secret (Mar 22)~ Vaughn is everything I’m supposed to stay away from. Sexy. Cocky. And famous. Ultra-famous. I grew up in a family full of wealthy celebrities. My father, Luke Williams, is the celebrity of them all. A superstar actor and producer, my father knows the downside of living in the spotlight. And because of that, he sheltered my siblings and me from everything Hollywood entailed. We didn’t attend premieres. We weren’t photographed. There were no friendships with other celebrities’ children. The limelight couldn’t touch us. But now, at twenty-five, I’m ready to start my life, working for my father’s production company in downtown Seattle—until Vaughn Barrymore walks through the door. He can’t keep his hands off me. He’s completely forbidden, but I can’t help falling for the sweet, complicated man. When—and it’s when not if—my family finds out that I’ve been keeping this secret, will I have to choose between the man I love and those who mean the most to me? Or, by some miracle, can I have both?

Broke and desperate, Nova returns home to Blue Belle, Texas, where, by a cosmic twist of fate, her broody neighbor is none other than Ronan, the shiny new football coach everyone adores. But he has no idea who she is. The booster club keeps shoving women at Ronan to keep him in town. His solution? He proposes fake dating to Nova. But things heat up for real under these Friday-night lights when he realizes she’s the one who slipped away. Has this jaded beauty found her forever baller, or will his past keep them apart?

Kerrigan Whitaker has spent the past two years reinventing herself into the strong, independent woman she’s always wanted to be, and running her first ultra marathon is the chance to prove to herself and everyone else how far she’s come. Her failed marriage made her wary of relationships, so she’s not ready to get involved with anyone else. Not even the man she secretly fantasizes about—who also happens to be her brother’s best friend. But when people she works closely with are murdered, she goes to the only place she feels safe—Crimson Point, and the man who tempts her like no other. And the killer is closer than they realize. Air National Guard Pararescueman Travis Masterson loves his career and has dedicated his life to saving and protecting others. There’s only one thing missing. Kerrigan—but she’s determined to keep walls up between them. He understands why she’s gun shy, but he can’t let her go. Not when every instinct is screaming that she’s it for him. After a shocking attack leaves her in the crosshairs of a cold-blooded killer, Travis is the only one who can save her. So, Burke very non-romantically asks me to marry him. Well, he asks me to be fake engaged to him, anyway. I’ll attend a few dinners, pretend I’m in love, and meet the family. In exchange, he’ll invest in my company and help me launch it off the ground. All is easy, except his kisses feel more real than they should. And the sex…damn, we’re not supposed to have sex.
