I was born into luxury and used to getting what I wanted.
What I desired most, with my life in disarray, was the man who sat across from me.
He was tall, dark and handsome, but, most notably, forbidden.
It made every accidental touch more sinful and every session more addictive.
There was so much tragedy and he was supposed to fix me.
I shouldn’t have wondered how it would feel to be trapped under his broad shoulders.
I shouldn’t have focused on the way he licked his bottom lip every time his gaze dropped from mine and roamed my curves.
I shouldn’t have dreamed about him breaking the rules to comfort me the way I desperately needed.
I did though, and I was the first one to break.
He was my protector and my confidant and then he became my lover.
I teased him, tempted the two of us and now there’s no way to take it back.
With everything I’ve been through, I didn’t expect to fall for him.
There’s only so much heartache I can take.
This is book 2 in the Love The Way You series. Book 1, Kiss Me, must be read first.

Hold Me was an epic continuation to the trilogy after Kiss Me, the first book. There’s lots of romance and steamy scenes and a plot that keeps you hooked with lots of mystery and secrets.
Told in dual POV, Zander and Ella’s story takes off right where it ended in Kiss Me. Zander works at “The Firm” which is owned by his brother and they’ve been given the responsibility of Ella as she recovers from her psychological issues. Ella on the other hand, is rich and famous and her manager, Kamden makes her decisions for her.
Zander has a past that makes him weary and battle with a lot of guilt. And Ella’s issues mean she’s all over the place and her emotions change constantly from one to another. Zander wallowed so much in his guilt over her last relationship, even over things that weren’t really his fault and I’m not sure how I felt about that? After a certain point, it got a little annoying. I know getting over issues takes time but a lot of his guilt was over things that weren’t even his fault.
On a more positive note, I loved the relationship and scenes between Zander and Ella. Ella really relied on Zander and they both became the light in each other’s darkness. I loved their dynamic and how they kind of helped each other. The mystery and secret aspects of the story were what really pulled me in. Every time you think things were getting different and moving things along faster, new secrets and revelations were brought in. Although I can’t say I din’t like it, because I’m still here reading this and so excited for the next book. (PS The book ends on a cliffhanger)
I loved Zander and Ella’s love story, it was everything that the romantic in me loves. It was passionate, emotional, and there was never a dull moment. I was fully invested in the story and both of the beautiful and flawed characters.
I absolutely can’t wait to read the next book in this series, I’m DESPERATELY waiting for it.
